| | rja | ] | this weekend's been the shit. Friday - school, then track practice until 5, then hung at Alexandra's from 5 to 9. Saturday - class L meet from 7-4, then soccer games at 4:30 & 8:30, then Haley's party from 10-12. Sunday - soccer games at 10:30 & 2, then church, then hung at Alexandra's until now. Tomorrow - beach with Kristin & Rosalie.
i've probably been at my house (during the daylight hours) a total of 2 hours all weekend.
this was such a random update, considering i haven't updated for a solid 2 months. i blame the lack of livejournal on a combination of sports and the fact that i have my licence. there's so much more freedom now that my parents don't have to drive me everywhere.
uhm, it's past my bedtime. :) ♥ |

| [ | Feeling |
| | accomplished | ] | Though it was sure a pain in the ass to get. First, when my mom dismissed me from school at 11am, I realized we'd forgotton my folder with my identification and stuff in it, so we had to go back to my house. Then when we got there (after 1/2 hour of driving), we waited 45 minutes in line and did our paperwork, only to find out that the examiner's 2 hour lunch break was just starting, and he wouldn't be back until 1:30. So we went to McDonalds for an hour, and when we came back at 1pm the cars were already lined up to do the testing. We got in the end of the line, and listened to the radio for an hour while the examiner decided to take an extra half in hour for lunch. When he finally came back, he tested the 2 cars in front of us. When it was finally time for us to go and he got in our car...it wouldn't start. *kills* He just moved on to the next person. Eventually, we got someone to jump start our car for us, and I got to take the test at around 3pm (4 hours later...). I got a 100% on both the written and the driving test. Not bad for someone who's never even read the manuel. :)
Yaaaay for lisenses.
Oh, and funny story. The boy & his mom in line behind me we're probably the funniest people I've ever met who weren't trying to be funny. They ended up jump-starting our car for us, so we let them go in front of us for the testing. While the kid was driving, the lady started talking to me. Lady: He's a good boy you know. He just out of jail, but it wasn't his fault. Me: ...oh? Lady: Yes, yes. He was arrested for crashing a vehicle into a tree. Me: Why was he arrested for that? Lady: Well, he was pretty heavy into drugs. I think he was on heroin at the time of the crash. Me: And they're letting him get his lisense back so soon? Lady: "Back?" Oh no dear, he didn't have his lisense back then. He was only 15. Me: ... Lady: Yes, yes, he's a good boy...
I really do love meeting people. :) ♥ |

| | sleepy | ] | I am not a morning person. I really don't know how I manage to get my clothes on all the right limbs and remember things like shoes/backpack on a daily basis. I'm significantly dumber than usual (yes, it's possible) right after I wake up.
Add in the change from west coast time to east coast time and you have my morning:
You see, I brought my alarm clock to Oregon with me, and didn't bother moving the time backwards three hours just to change it back five days later. So while in Oregon, I just subtracted three hours from what it read, and it worked out fine. Except when my alarm went off this morning at 5:30, I decided that I still had another three hours to sleep. I [luckily] woke up at 6:30 and had less than 10 minutes before I had to catch my bus. Not fun.
Will update with wedding pictures... some other time.
My brother Jeremy's going to be stationed in Qatar starting on the 18th for 30 days, then to Bagdad after that. :( ♥ |

So I'm in Oregon right now. It's been pretty uneventful so far. The plane-ride kinda stunk because the pilot went down too quickly, and I ended up having some major ear-aches. When we stopped in Minneapolis though, I bought The End (the last A Series of Unfortunate Events book), so that's been fun to read.
I just found out I have a cousin Tallie. Wierd, huh? I really don't know any of my relatives over here.
Don't you hate when everyone knows your name, but you don't know theirs? I do. That's how I feel here. I think I'm gonna give up on names completely so I don't look stupid. :)
Right now my mom's in the other room trying to teach my grandmother Sudoku. Muy amusing.
Umm, I should probably go get ready. ♥ |

There are more, but they're on my cell phone, and I need my dad to help me get them off.
My soccer coach just called to tell me tonight's game was cancelled. Which kind of pisses me off. The past two months I've been literally living for soccer, but now that school soccer's over, one of the few things that have kept me going this week was the fact that indoor soccer started today. Grr.
I started health class today. The teacher seems nice enough, though she's a wicked attendence nazi, which...isn't going to work out. I sleep in usually once a week, which means missing all of first block, and I usually am absent a couple of times a month as well. Tomorrow I might be going out to breakfast with Demeter and Courney, then Friday and Monday I'll be in Oregon, then we get Tueday off for voting. I won't be going to her class until...Wednesday of next week. Lmao, we'll see how that goes over...
I'm going to Oregon tomorrow for my cousin Windy's wedding. ♥ |

I got a talking-to by the ref five minutes into the game, so he wouldn't call shit in my favor. Hence me being unbelieveably sore today. & bruised.
Other than feeling like shit, today was good. I ate Halloween candy all day (the candy that we're suppose to give out to the kids, but end up eating ourselves), and got a pretty poster from Lindsey that she used as a sign at last night's game. I have to remember to hang that on my wall.
I have a 270 page book to read by Wednesday. & have to take notes from 9 other sourses for my essay on capital punishment. & decide on a thesis for that same essay. Ugh. ♥ |

They're the #2 seated team, we're the #10. :/ Not that that really matters in playoffs. It could go either way. Some of you guys should come. It's at Merrimack Saturday at 1:30, unless they change it because of weather problems. ...Which they probably will, because its Merrimack, and it always rains there for soccer.
I'm icing my shin right now. It's waay swollen. Because my shinguards work so well?
In other news, today was picture day. Lmao. I kinda blow at school pictures: Nicole: *sits in front of camera* Camera: *malfunctions* Man: ...Alright. Way to break the camera. Don't worry, I'll upload the pictures as soon as I can and post them. :)
Saturday I'm going to witches woods with Kristin, Meghan, and Courtney. It should be fun, though I have no idea where I'm gonna get $22 from...
Hmm, so you know that earthquake in Hawaii? Jason and Caitlin are going to honeymoon there for a week as of this coming Saturday. I have a feeling that's not gonna work out too well.
We lost to Winnacunnet yesterday. It was a really bad game. Like, they won 1 to nothing off an own goal. What stinks the most though is that now we can't finish with a winning record, which was our goal for the season. And it puts us in an even crappier position come playoffs. It looks like we're gonna finish in 10th, which means we'll be playing either Memorial or Dover next week, and they'll have home field advantage. We lost to both those teams during regular season. :/ Playoffs start next Wednesday by the way, though none of you could go even if you wanted to, because the game is away and starts at 2 o'clock.
I'm thinking of helping out with the special olympics swim program at the YMCA. Anyone want to do it with me?
I can't decide what I should do soccer-wise this winter. I'm thinking I want to do either World Cup, ODP, or Goffstown indoor. I'm not sure whether I'd even make ODP anymore. I was only JV for U13s, and I only made U14 varsity because of my throw-ins. And since my throw-ins aren't as good as they used to be, and I didn't do it last year... I think I'll just to World Cup. With some Goffstown and Nashua United on the side. :)
My social studies teacher lost my job shadow forms. Which isn't good, since that's supposed to be next Tuesday. I suppose I could always get them resigned, since the person I'm job shadowing lives right behind my house, but I don't really feel like it unless I have to.
PSATs next Saturday. Ugh. ♥

| An interesting morning... |
[Oct. 9th, 2006|04:48 pm] |
| [ | Feeling |
| | nervous | ] | I smell real real bad (just came back from soccer) and have an essay to write. But first, my morning:
So I wake up at 8:30 to my cell phone going off. I assume its my alarm (even though I never use my cell phone as an alarm), so I just open and close it, then go back to sleep. At around 9:30 Courtney calls my house phone and asks why I hung up on her earlier. Whoops... Whatever, it's her fault for expecting me to function before noon. Not that I function well after noon or anything, but there's absolutely no hope of logic before then.
Then, as I'm getting ready for practice, I turn to my mirror and see this HUGE spider ON MY NECK. When I say "huge," I'm not kidding. It was at least 2 inches wide, and had a fat body and these thick hairy legs. *shudder* So, naturally, I scream my ass off, whack it off me, and run (still screaming) out of my room. When my mom comes sprinting up the stairs thinking I'd been stabbed or something, its to find me in feetle postition, tears running down my face, clutching the part of my neck it was on with my hand, and whimpering nonesence. It took her like 5 mintues to calm me down enough to get the words "spider" and "in my room" out of my mouth, and when she did, she just went in my room and stepped on it. [/near-death experiance] Shut up. I hate spiders.
So tomorrow we play Goffstown. I'm so psyched, mostly because that's the team I played with over the summer, and I know like all the players. I can't believe the season's almost over though. Including tomorrow, there's only 4 games left, and I'm missing one of them for Jason's wedding. & then there's playoffs, which I'm already nervous for. We'll proably finish somewhere in the middle, which would mean that even if we made it through the first round, we'd be playing one of the top-seated teams in the second.
*sniffs* I should probably go shower now... ♥ |

So. I haven't updated in a wicked long time (not counting the riddle thing). Here's my last two-ish weeks:
1) Steph called. I can't really put into words how excited/amused/crazyhappy I was when I got her voicemail[s]. It was just one of those moments where you can't really comprehend anything but pure joy for about 10 minutes, & once you get it, you smile so long & so hard that your cheeks ache. :] 2) We won the North vs South soccer game. It was pretty intense - we made posters for it the night before & everything. I would elaborate on the game, but it really wasn't all that exciting. South scored early on in the first half, & we spent the rest of the game trying to hold the lead. 3) Last Friday was Alexandra's birthday, & her mom picked us up from school. When we were driving away, the car in front of us switched to the other lane without looking, & a car in the other lane that was going like 60mph (in a 30mph zone) rammed into the one that just switched lanes. We were literally five feet from the crash, it was so crazy. Parts flew everywhere when the collided, & Mrs. Donaldson had to give her name & number [& age, for some reason...] to the police because she was an eye witness. 4) Mayesha wrote an article for the newspaper! It was like last Wednesday or something lol, but whatever. I was excited. Congradulations, yo. 5) Haha, I made the front page of the sports section last Friday. The picture they put in was fricking hilarious. There's a scan of it on the telegraph's wesite here. 6) Tuesday was my cat Tango's 16th birthday. He's so old. :( 7) Omg, so this time next week I'll be traveling to my brother's wedding. How cool is that? Caitlin's such a sweetie. She's been sending me & the other bridesmaids all these e-mails saying how excited she is. :] 8) I really like my social studies teacher. We acutally learn useful shit in that class. Wierd, right? 9) Me & Nora want to plan a JV Soccer Reunion. I think it'd be amazing. I loved that team. 10) My cleats broke, & I bought new ones. I hate them. They gave me major blisters on the backs of my heels, & they don't...feel right. I'm considering just wearing my old cleats to tomorrow's game, even with the holes. 11) I watched Tristan & Isolde last Saturday with Alexandra. It's my new favorite movie. 12) I broke someone's knee when we played Central last Tuesday. It was a clean play - I was defending her & the ball was on her foot, & so I kicked the ball & her knee kinda...died. She got carried off the field & everything. It's gonna suck if we play them during play-offs though (which we most likely will), because their whole team hates me now. 13) The lady who works in the career center in my school told me my handshake sucks. 14) I wore The Empathy Belly today for my child growth & development class. It's basically this 35 pound strap on pregnancy-belly. Lol, it was interesting how many dirty looks I got in the hallway from people who thought I was pregnant for real. 15) Our school's doing a job-shadowing thing on the 23rd, so I have to go make some calls to my shadowee.
G'night then. ♥ |

And I have a crapload of homework tomorrow, so I can't really hang out with anyone this weekend. Which stinks, because I was going to visit Lindsey & her surgeried knee this weekend. Lo siento hun.
Umm, we won our soccer game last night, 3-2. I scored the first. If you count our own-goal, we doubled our points for the entire season. Pathetic, much? I can't believe we're halfway through the season.
IF YOU'RE ON MY FRIENDS LIST: I want to know 28 things about you. I don't care if we've never talked, never liked each other, or if we already know everything about each other. I really don't. My day so far = waay boring. I had a soccer game then watched The Godfather. It was a good movie, though too long for my liking. ADD is kinda restricting.
Soccer record so far for South is 2-4. The three of the four losses being our last three games. :/ Ah well, it'll all be better when Obie comes back from injury. And the rest of the team, actually. Right now we have a grand total of two subs.
Haha, so Rinita & I & some other people are gonna try to break the world record for a movie marathon this summer. Not like they'll even look at our application, but whatever. 96 straight hours of movies + lack of sleep + intense amounts of sugar sounds...amusing.
Uhm, just came back 5 hours later to realize I didn't send this.
